3D printed shoes hit the runway
3D printed shoes are the latest installment from a collaborative effort between fashion designer Iris van Herpen and shoe designer Rem D Koolhaas, nephew of famed architect and namesake Rem Koolhaas.
Inspired by tree roots, the designers wanted to create something that reflected the beauty and rawness of the natural world.
The sky-high shoes were made using Objet Connex and Objet Eden printers, provided by Straasys, and were presented at Paris Fashion Week during Iris van Herpen’s couture show.
They come in a number of neutral colours including black, white and beige.
