V World to open in Beirut with Vick Vanlian furniture

V World boutique will open in Saifi Village, Beirut, in July with furniture from Vick Vanlian, who owns Envy Interiors, a Middle East firm in bespoke interiors for residential, business and retail clients.

The 170m2 showroom will display the Vick Vanlian furniture collection, which was launched at Salone Del Mobile in Milan. The boutique will also feature his lifestyle collection of bags, shoes, small leather goods and t-shirts.

“My design philosophy is to make the world a better place using four of the five senses: touch, smell, sight and sound, which are all part of experiencing a certain space, be it in interiors or architecture,” he said.

“In designing furniture and accessories, I challenge myself, and my team to go beyond any guidelines and dare to start new trends, always adding some fun and twists to things and awakening the senses.”

An additional feature is the ‘Black Room,’ a space dedicated to the designer’s most treasured design furniture and accessories, created by some of the world’s artists and famous brands such as Lladro, and Rosana Orland.

The Black Room also houses artworks which Vanlian collects.

Born in Beirut (Lebanon) in 1977, the designer studied interior architecture at the Lebanese American University (LAU) and worked for his father, a local entrepreneur and self-made man in the furnishing industry, at his company, Vanlian.

He created Envy Interiors five years ago where he creates the interiors and buys furniture for members of the Royal family in the Emirates and Middle Eastern pop-stars.
