Voglia to support Arctic Xtreme runners

The owner of Voglia furniture shop, Rafik Abasov, in Jumeirah, Dubai, has pledged to donate all sales profits at his shop on June 14-15 to competitors of The Polar Circle Marathon, in Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

Two runners, Neil Munro, sales & marketing director, Hertz UAE and Diarmuid O’Malley, publishing director, ITP Business, Dubai, have teamed up as ‘Arctic Xtreme’ to take part in the event, in October.

The money will go towards an initiative of the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation (CNCF) to support the funding of the Sunshine School in Vietnam.

“I am delighted to support the Arctic Xtreme initiative, which is supporting the education of children in Vietnam,” said Abasov.

“I believe education is the key to alleviate poverty. We hope that our support will raise awareness of their campaign and increase their funds to achieve their target.”

To date, CNCF has implemented over 100 sustainable programmes in Vietnam and Mongolia since 1997, which have saved the lives of hundreds of thousands of destitute children.

“We are grateful to people in the community, like Rafik, who come out to support this worthy cause. Come down to Voglia and show your support, he’s donating 100% profits to the Arctic fund on both days,” said O’Malley.
