UNStudio reveals holey Singapore skyscraper
Top Dutch architecture firm UNStudio has unveiled its design for Scotts Tower in Singapore, which contains giant holes in its facade.
The huge voids – in the base and upper sections – will house gardens, swimming pools and barbeque pavilions.
Located close to the Orchard Road shopping district, the proposed 31-storey tower will provide 231 apartments, including luxury penthouses.
Dubbed ‘Sky Frames’, the upper-level voids offer sweeping views over the surrounding parkland and the skyline of Singapore.
