Skyscraper fire safety comes under microscope in Dubai
The hot topic of fire safety in high-rise buildings will be the focus of a conference to be held in Dubai next month which will feature construction industry experts and government officials.
The latest statistics, published this month by global financial planning company Guardian Wealth Management claim that up to 80% of expatriate residents living in Dubai are not protected against property fire.
The event is to be held alongside the first day of the Windows, Doors & Façades Event taking place at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 18 – 20, with the latest fire safety circular issued by Dubai Municipality a major focus.
That and the new fire safety codes, underlining the need for the right building façade materials to ensure heightened safety and fire prevention, will be top of the agenda.
