Shortlist announced for first three categories of Middle East Architect Awards

The shortlist for the first three categories of the Middle East Architect Awards has been officially announced.

This year’s event saw a record-breaking 214 entries in total with 15 separate categories – culminating in Architect of the Year.

Nominations came from across the GCC and also included entries from the wider Middle East.

Winners will be announced on Wednesday November 19 at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

 Community/Cultural Project of the Year shortlist:

 Al Nadi Tower – A C Meyerhans Architecture

GEMS International School – Godwin Austen Johnson

Urban Gallery of Historic Grand Mosque of Ardabil City – Memar Studio

Shams Monument – BNS CO
