RTKL launches design monograph in free iPad app
Architecture, planning and design firm RTKL has launched the RTKL Publications iPad app which showcases the practice’s latest work, ideas and events.
The free app is called Works in Progress, an annual design monograph that celebrates the best work from among the firm’s 1,000 professionals across three continents.
“As a global business, especially one focused on design, we realise how important it is to be relevant in this digital age,” said Lance Josal, RTKL president and CEO.
“Our new app celebrates the creativity, innovation and diversity of RTKL’s people, design portfolio and thought leadership.”
Juried by an invited panel of industry experts and practitioners, the projects are selected from among the practice’s 12 offices and cover a range of typologies.
This year’s jury included architecture critic Roger K. Lewis FAIA, Metropolis editor-in-chief Susan Szenasy, WRT principal Nando Micale AICP and Matthew Hurson from Hines.
WIP is currently in its 9th year. “We’re especially pleased with the work of this year’s WIP,” added Josal. “It truly reflects the current state of our practice and it’s fitting that it is our first digital publication.”
