Entries open for World Architecture Festival

The World Architecture Festival (WAF) Awards is now open for entries, with judges including architects David Adjaye, Murat Tabanlioglu, and Nathalie de Vries, co-founder of Dutch studio MVRDV.

This year the awards will take place in Amsterdam on 28 November, where all the winning projects will be announced.

Projects across the Middle East, and immediate neighbours, like Turkey and Pakistan, received multiple awards last year, making up seven out of 66 winners.

Winning projects from the region included New Wave Architecture’s Pars Hospital in Tehran; The Palestinian Museum by Heneghan Peng Architects; the  Mleiha National Park in Sharjah by 3deluxe Transdisciplinary Design, among others.
