Dubai Jumeirah Beach Residence designer Habib Fida Ali dies aged 81
Pakistani architect Habib Fida Ali, who was one of the designers of Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Residence, has died at the age of 81.
Fida Ali qualified as an associate of the Royal Institute of British Architects and returned to Pakistan in 1964.
He served on the Master Jury for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and received many awards for his work which included the conservation and renovation of Mohatta Palace, Karachi.
The Institute of Architects in Pakistan also recognised Fida Ali’s talent with a lifetime achievement award.
