Dewan contract wins add to Abu Dhabi portfolio
Dewan Architects & Engineers’ contract wins and project completions in Abu Dhabi have added to the firm’s portfolio in the capital.
The firm has completed the 242-room Premier Inn Hotel at Abu Dhabi International Airport. The facilities of the airport were designed, detailed and constructed to carry an Estidama rating.
Dewan is currently working on the 700-key Fairmont Hotel & Resort on the Marina Breakwater.
The firm also has Aldar’s Bateen Park Development project, consisting of apartment blocks, townhouses, villas, small retail outlet and gym, swimming pools and other ancillary buildings, located in the centre of the Al Bateen Area, as well as various schools for Abu Dhabi Eduction Council (ADEC) as part of its ‘Schools of the Future’ program.
“Dewan has a long and distinguished history of over 28 years of contributing towards the development of signature projects within the capital and it is our pleasure to continue adding to the wealth of architectural beauty and functionality that is key to the growth of Abu Dhabi,” said Mohamed Al Assam, founder, chairman and managing director of Dewan.
Other projects Dewan has completed in Abu Dhabi include the Al Bateen School, the Yas Hotel, the Crescent Towers in Khalidiya, and Futooh Al Khair Complex.
The firm will present its most recent regional projects located in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, as well as its expansion into the international market with a project like the St. Kitts, at the sixth annual Cityscape Abu Dhabi, at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, between April 22-25, 2012.
