Burj Khalifa’s new observation deck is tallest in the world

The Burj Khalifa is to add a new viewing deck which will be the highest deck in the world, developer Emaar announced today (Tuesday).

The new deck will be on the 148th floor of the world’s tallest building – 23 floors above the existing viewing deck called At The Top – and a total of 555m above the ground.

The Dubai viewing deck replaces the 488m platform at Canton Tower, China, as the highest in the world, although the structure in Guangzhou still has its own special feature – rotating glass pods which give a 360 degree view across the city.
