Bishop Design Residential rebrands itself to XBD Collective alongside additional services

Co-founder of interiors firm Bishop Design, Ellen Sohoel, has launched XBD Collective, which will include two brands, XBD Architecture and XBD Interior Design, as well as the existing Bishop Design Residential.

XBD Collective is set up as a conglomerate for multiple businesses, formed as a result of high demand for the company, formerly known as Bishop Design Residential, to expand its services, the firm explained.

The company also said the rebranding and addition of services was “a natural evolution of constant growth within the brand”.

““I am delighted to announce the launch of XBD Collective, a multi- disciplined firm which adopts a design style that strives to push the boundaries in the world of design. XBD Collective possesses a distinctive ability to create customized signature architecture and interior designs that is both award-winning and forward-thinking,” said Ellen Søhoel, managing director of XBD Collective.

“There is a strong need for a multifaceted design and architecture firm in Dubai, and we are pleased to continue breaking boundaries in the world of design in the Middle East, as well as internationally afield,” she said.

XBD Collective will be operating from two new offices located in Dubai Design District, and will be led in collaboration with RIBA-certified architect Lee Nellis, who will head the architecture division of the company.

The firm has also added a new division for art, in partnership with London-based Brian Travers Art Studio, also known as one of the founders of the famous band, UB40.

A portfolio of upcoming interior and architecture projects include Dragon Pearl Floating Casino, in Macau and Brova Floating Residences in Monaco.

In the region, the firm has recently completed the new Alef Residence, operated by the W Hotel on the Palm Jumeirah.

“These projects are hugely significant for the firm,” said Sohoel. “We are competing with some of the world’s biggest architecture and design firms, and are extremely proud to be winning projects such as these.”
