Benoy shares images of its design for the Global Business School in Saudi Arabia
International architecture firm, Benoy, has released the first images of its design for the new Global Business School, due to open in 2020 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The academic institution is expected to attract Saudi and international business students through collaboration with top colleges such as, Imperial College Business school, Cornell University, and Harvard Law School.
The six-storey building with smooth contours and rounded corners will feature two distinct wings connected by an enclosed atrium. The north wing will house the faculty offices, teaching spaces, and the innovation centre, whereas, the larger, south wing surrounds it with student dining halls, an auditorium, sports area, and a knowledge centre.
According to the firm, the design fosters social interaction and minimises hierarchy and social boundaries within the school community.
With studios in Dubai and Bahrain, Benoy is known for their projects in the region, including Yas Island, the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi, and City Walk and The Beach in Dubai. The firm is also working on a number of developments in Riyadh, as well as a new terminal at Bahrain Airport.
