Bahrain’s King Faisal Corniche to be converted to “modern beachfront”
“The King Faisal Corniche will be turned into a modern beachfront attracting investment and trade activities,” said Dr Jumaa Al Ka’abi, Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister in comments published by Gulf Daily. .
The BD19mn ($50mn) renovation will feature a development scheme that follows directives from His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa to implement projects featuring on the government’s work plan, including beachfronts.
The ministry has already developed beachfronts located in Abu Sobh, Al Ghous coast, Malkiya, Al Dour, Arad, Khalifa Al Kabeer Corniche, Arad Fort and other coastline locations.
Al Fateh Corniche, Sitra Corniche, Tubli Bay, Zallaq, Barbar, Juffair, Askar, Northern Highway, Al Dair, Samaheej and Qalali coasts will also undergo a major facelift.
