Ron Arad’s constant experimentation with materials and his radical re-conception of the form and structure of furniture have put him at the forefront of contemporary design. For Moroso, Arad strode a strongly materials-oriented path, from polyethene upholstery to wood. For the Three Skin Chair, he used wood for the first time. Powerfully sculptural and extremely sinuous, it is in multi-layered lacquered beech plywood. Surface finishings include iron and copper wood colours or lacquered matt red, white and black.
