Sustainable, low carbon office design is a key concern for Chinese furniture makers according to industry expert Liu Xianming.
Xianming, president of the Guangzhou Furniture Association, made the comments on the sidelines of the third annual China International Furniture Fair – Office (CIFF-Office) last month. He said the broad scale and the huge number of participants reflected the rapid development of China’s office furniture industry towards international standards.
The four day event took place in Guangzhou, China and attracted 629 local Chinese and international work space fit-out and design companies from throughout the region. The annual trade show caters to a largely Asian market and this year attracted renowned office furniture companies Lamex, Saosen, Ou Lin and Sunon.
It included an Office Environment Theme Pavilion, organised by CIFF and Lamex, which carried the theme of Enhancing Office Environment and centred on leading ideas on greener and sustainable office design
Dates for the 2012 event have already been scheduled. The show will take place on March 27-30, 2012 at the China Import and Export Complex in Guangzhou.
