UK architect wins Emaar's Dubai Creek Harbour design competition
Of. Studio has beat more than 100 companies to win Emaar's competition to create an architectural feature for waterfront development Dubai Creek Harbour, according to Commercial Interior Design.
The UK architecture and design practice has proposed building a “garden on the coast”.
The brief was to encourage architectural designers to “come up with innovative and unique concepts to develop another iconic piece of architecture” according to a press statement.
Emaar's‘The Landmark’ design competition was launched in May 2019.
Fabrica Architects was the runner-up and its concept will be developed by Emaar in Egypt. The third place design, submitted by Ragaie Architects, will be built in Mina Rashid.
Nurhayat Öz, Adnan Ihsan, TO Design, Tekuma Frenchman, A.Nouraldeen & L. Fraccalvieri, Melike Altinisik Architects and R. Sudheer & Ravichandar were shortlisted.
