Dubai's Town Square Park nears opening
Town Square Dubai's Town Square Park is due to open on Friday, 25 October, with fireworks and a parade.
Located in the heart of the Dubai megaproject's development, the park’s opening marks an important milestone for developer Nshama, according to Middle East Architect's sister title, Commercial Interior Design.
A parade with 70 artists will perform in the park on Friday afternoon to mark the occasion.
Fred Durie, CEO of Nshama, said: "We look forward to bringing a vibrant community together on the occasion of Town Square Park’s grand opening to the public. Nshama continuously strives to improve the lives of our residents and to add significant value to their properties; greenery and outdoor living being some of the most sought-after and rare features in Dubai’s residential landscape."
He said Nshama has already handed over 3,000 homes - increasing to 5,000 by the end of 2019 - that overlook and which are connected to the park.
Once complete, the main square will cover an area the size of 16 football fields, and will also be home to a boutique hotel, cinemas and children nurseries.
Town Square Dubai will also feature a total of 16 community gardens, an extensive network of trails for jogging, cycling and walking, spanning across hundreds of square kilometres of green spaces.
The 750-acre Town Square Dubai will be a home to over 18,000 apartments and over 3,500 town houses
