Blanchard boss leaves Dubai after six years
Marie-Noelle Swiderski, managing director, Blanchard interior design and architecture, is leaving Dubai after six years to move back to Canada.
Swiderski will remain as director of the company and her title role will pass onto her colleague of five years, Mehmet Aktash, at its studio in Design House.
“Six years have flown by. They have brought many achievements, a few setbacks, several life-defining realisations and many, many extreme highs,” she said.
“I have no doubt I will be returning to Dubai, if only to install my most precious projects as they completely come to life, to say hello and to soak up the sun I will undoubtedly miss.”
Swiderski will move to Vancouver to pursue other projects in a different environment and her last day in the office is June 28, 2012.
“Although I remain a director of the company, the managing director role of Blanchard in Dubai will be taken on by my colleague of five years, Mehmet Aktash, whose integrity, professionalism and uniquely versatile technical and creative mind, will ensure the horizon stays clearly in sight at all times,” she added.
“He is supported as always by our design team’s complementary talents and experiences, vouching for an extremely promising, successful future, continuing to deliver our holistic approach of lovingly detailed tailor-made designs, from architecture, to interior architecture, design and decoration.”
Swiderski said in an email to clients that she wanted to thank everyone for all their help, support, patience, good humour, generosity and integrity, ‘navigating the temperamental waters of this strong-willed market’.
“Our dedication and focused hard work, with the many guises of our collaboration with you, is what has made the Blanchard studio what it is today.”
