A number of MENA region projects among 70 competing entries at the 2018 Prix Versailles World Final

At the recently held continental ceremony of the Prix Versailles 2018 in the International Center of Conférences d’Alger, winning entries were announced from among shops, shopping centres, hotels and restaurants from the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Altogether 70 projects will from Central America, the South and the Caribbean; North America; Central Asia and the Northeast; and South Asia and the Pacific regions will compete in the 2018 Prix Versailles World Final to be held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. Here are the shortlisted projects from the region:

Concrete restaurant in Lavasan, Iran by Boozhgan Studio was nominated in the special prize category for its exterior

Apple store at Dubai Mall by Foster + Partners was shortlisted in the special prize category for exterior

BAMLAND Mall and recreation centre in Tehran, Iran by Contextlogic Architecture Studio was nominated in the special prize category for exterior among the shopping malls

The Bvlgari Resort Dubai by Citterio-Viel & Partners was shortlisted in the hotel architecture category

Rayzan House of Culture in Tehran, Iran by Sarvestan Architecture won in the retail architecture category

Masti restaurant in Dubai’s La Mer designed by Compass Project Management was shortlisted in the interior category
