Noted Iranian architect Ali-Asghar Sha’rbaf has died at the age of 85.
The country’s state news agency said he will be laid to rest in artists section of Behesht-e Zahra cemetery.
Deputy Director of Iran Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicraft Organisation Mohammad Hassan Talebian offered condolences to the public and the arts community on the “great loss of the veteran artist”.
Sha’rbaf was an expert in latticework, stalactite work, and traditional Iranian architecture.
