Sofitel opens Belgian-designed hotel in Casablanca

Sofitel has announced the opening of its first hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, designed by Belgian architect Patrick Génard.

The hotel’s glass facades surround an interior by Marc Hertrich and Nicolas Adnet.

The design is said to combine “pure styling and Moorish ornamentation”.

Robert Gaymer-Jones Sofitel Worldwide CEO, commented: “Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche enjoys a strategic position and its charismatic architecture sets the hotel as an iconic address in this vibrant business city.”

It is located in the central business district and overlooks the Hassan II Mosque, which contains the world’s tallest minaret at 210m.
