Middle East projects win big at World Architecture Festival 2017

The World Architecture Festival (WAF), known for awarding the best buildings and concepts from around the world, just closed its 10th edition and recently announced the overall winners for 2017.

Projects from across the region and its immediate neighbours, like Turkey and Pakistan, were recognised across the board, making up seven out of 66 winners.

Among the regional countries, Turkey was a repeat winner, while projects from the UAE, Iran and Palestine were also acknowledged. Other countries that repeated wins included the Philippines, South Africa, Sweden and the UK.
