Exhibitors happy with visitor traffic at INDEX Dubai

The 21st edition of INDEX Dubai took place with an increased turnout from the year before, according to exhibitors at the event.

The general reaction towards the state of the exhibition visitors was positive. Many said the number of visitors were more than they had witnessed earlier.

Hossein Rezvani, who won a red dot design award for his carpet Tabriz Lilac, was very happy with the response to the event.

“I don’t know what’s changed this year; perhaps it’s because the event started on a Saturday. We’ve had a lot of consumers coming to the show as well. I think there’s been about 30% more visitors than last year, which is great,” said Rezvani.

Lindie Champion, head of marketing, Kinnersley Kent Design, said not only were there more visitors this year, the spread was vast as well. Not only were there visitors from the UAE, but also from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and more, she said.

Paul Galvin, who was exhibiting for ohpopsi.ae, was a first-time exhibitor and said he was pleased with the turnout. “I didn’t know what to expect, but it’s been a good event for us to get our name out there since we’re setting up an office in UAE now,” he said.
