Dubai to hold landscape summit

Dubai is to host to the Middle East Smart Landscape Summit 2014, with subjects to be debated including municipal planning, new building regulations and the design of parks and public spaces.

The Sofitel on The Palm is the venue for the event to be staged on 6 and 7 May.

Around 400 landscape architects, government authorities, urban planners, developers, environmental specialists and contractors from across the GCC are set to attend.

The summit will also address the issue of with increased investment in green space and urban landscape development. In Dubai, as well as how to achieve the maximum amount of open land in the city as part of a recently introduced strategic development plan, with sustainability being a cornerstone of key national projects and government policy.
