ENOC unveils cluster of futuristic oil storage containers for Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion
Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) has unveiled the design Expo 2020 Dubai pavilion that will address the challenges of energy demand.
It will be designed to look like a cluster of futuristic oil storage containers that will take visitors through an interactive and multi-sensory journey from ENOC’s past to its future in sustainability energy.
These architectural structures will have four units each with its own narrative: Discovery will explain what energy is; Harness will showcase what energy enables; Collaborate highlights what energy needs; and Reimagine will explore the promises of energy, ENOC said.
The overarching theme of its pavilion is ‘Reimagine Energy’.
It will also have a space called The Hive for government officials and energy executives to meet.
Approximately 650 tonnes of steel will be used to build the pavilion, which will designed with potential “legacy use” in mind once expo ends in 2021.
HE Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, said: “For over 25 years, we have resolutely worked towards fulfilling the nation’s energy requirements and transforming the energy sector through our integrated operations and innovative service offering.”
HE Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General, Expo 2020 Dubai, added: “ENOC has been a key player in the global energy industry and an important contributor to the growth and progress of the UAE.
Expo 2020, the World’s Greatest Show of human brilliance and achievement, is an ideal platform for ENOC to showcase how it is working to shape a more sustainable and innovative future for the energy sector and we look forward to experiencing this at its interactive pavilion.
