KPF-designed Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences to be completed in Dubai in Q3 2020
The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences designed by Kohn Pederson Fox Associates will open by the end of Q3 2020, the executive vice president and managing director of Atlantis Resorts and Residences, Timothy Kelly, has reportedly confirmed.
“The Royal Atlantis project is coming together quite well," Kelly told Arabian Business.
"All of the design is complete, now it is just about finishing the project. We will have the building topped off in the coming weeks and with that we are starting to fit out."
The 46-storey development – which will operate as a sister hotel to Atlantis, The Palm – will boast almost 800 guest rooms and more than 230 serviced apartments upon completion.
The vast building complex, which can be either viewed as a single skyscraper or a series of six building, will feature 'sky courts' and terraces (which connect the six buildings), positioned strategically to amplify shading and prevent direct sunlight, while directing prevailing winds over its many water features.
