Architecture photographer Phil Handforth has released images of Henning Larsen-designed Institute of Diplomatic Studies, which has been recently completed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The building is closely link to the adjascent Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and like its neighbour, features a facade made from local limestone. The patterns on the facade double as perforations that allow day light into the building, without without direct sun impact.
Indoor terraces extend across the full length of the building, acting as social settings from students and employees.
The Institute of Diplomatic Studies will handle visa applications, diplomatic affairs, and the training of new diplomats, all under a single roof.
