Godwin Austen Johnson picks up more GCC hotel jobs

Godwin Austen Johnson (GAJ) is working on a number of hospitality projects in the Middle East, according to Middle East Architect's sister title, Commercial Interior Design.

UK-headquartered GAJ has had a presence in the region for 30 years and has a rich connection to Middle Eastern hotel design.

Al Bait Sharjah, Al Wathba by Jumeirah in Abu Dhabi and Al Seef Dubai are among the hotels it has worked on in the region during the last 12 months.

It recently completed Emaar’s Vida Harbour Point Dubai.

Jacinda Raniolo, lead creative designer at GAJ, told Commercial Interior Design that the firm is working on new hotels across the GCC.

“[We] are currently working on a number of hospitality projects in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait,” she said.

“We have the Hilton Garden inn Kuwait under construction, with a second Hilton property about to start construction in Sharjah.”
