SSH to design Emaar's Creek Beach District masterplan
Architecture firm SSH is leading the design of real estate development firm Emaar's Creek Beach Distrct masterplan in Dubai.
The waterfront development will be bordered by the Ras Al Khor Wildlife sanctuary looking out towards Dubai's skyline, as well as acting as an integral link between Santiago Calatrava-designed Dubai Creek Tower & Plaza, as well as the Creek Island Dubai developments within the Dubai Creek Harbour district.
Inspired by old cities found across the Middle East region, the masterplan is set to feature low to mid-rise buildings, creating pedestrian-friendly zones designed at a human-scale, comprising a vibrant ground level with residents living above.
Featuring a network of courtyards, walkways and a family-oriented waterfrot area, Creek Beach Distrct will be equipped with community spaces including commercial, retail and F&B as well as a variety of residential offerings and a hotel.
SSH’s scope includes full multidisciplinary services as lead consultant comprising architecture, MEP, structures and public realm co-ordination.
The district will be built in two phases covering a total of approximately 343,700 sqm. Emaar is carrying out a phased rollout of residential clusters to market as development progresses.
SSH has recently also completed the restoration and transformation of Al Salam Palace in Kuwait into a new museum that tells the history of the country through its 15 rulers.
