Aecom appoints new MEP engineering lead for Middle East

International infrastructure services firm Aecom has appointed Cathy Christer as director of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) services engineering, making her responsible for leading the company's substantial building services team in the Middle East. 

Christer is a chartered mechanical building services engineer with more than 25 years of experience in the delivery of MEP consultancy services for a wide range of clients and projects, the majority of which has been in the Middle East. 

Previously a partner and MEP team leader at Godwin Austen Johnson, Christer has held positions at Atkins and Aecom's legacy company URS Scott Wilson, where she was MEP associate director. 

Christer is a member of both CIBSE and ASHRAE Engineering Institutions, and was closely involved with Regional CIBSE activities while in he UK.
