UAE-based architects spoke to Middle East Architect about the various changes that are currently taking place within the real estate and build market across the Middle East at last month's Cityscape exhibition.

The RIBA-chartered architects include Sumaya Dabbagh, principal at Dabbagh Architects; Jonathan Ashmore, founder and director, Anarchitect; Jamie Webb, head of EMEA, Benoy; and Akhshay Khera, architecture director, BDP.

The architects commented on various topics such as contextual design receiving greater recognition, real estate beginning to cater to more directly to end user needs, the rise of urban communities, opportunities in existing structures, as well as the rise of projects coming from neighboring regions like North Africa.
